About me

 

Hi, I’m Karina — founder of Fit Fit Fit.   I help women build strength, move with confidence, and feel supported in their bodies through every stage of life. After more than 25 years working in health and fitness, I’ve seen first-hand that the most effective training isn’t about pushing harder — it’s about training smarter, with care, intention and consistency.


WHO I WORK WITH
I work primarily with women who want to feel strong, capable and confident — whether you are navigating pregnancy or postnatal recovery, moving through perimenopause or menopause, returning to exercise after injury, or simply wanting a calm, supportive training environment.


MY APPROACH
My training style blends physiotherapy-informed movement with strength, functional training and Pilates-based control. Sessions are personalised, joint-safe and focused on long-term results — not exhaustion or punishment.


MY BACKGROUND
I qualified as a Physiotherapist (BHSc Physiotherapy) in 2001 and worked across New Zealand and Australia before moving fully into rehabilitation-focused and functional training. I am now a REPs registered Personal Trainer, C.H.E.K HLC1 Holistic Lifestyle Coach, and trained in Pilates through Dance Medicine Australia, STOTT Pilates and studio pilates. I specialise in rehab, women’s health, including pregnancy, postnatal recovery, perimenopause and menopause.


MEDIA & RECOGNITION
My work has been featured in Jaquie Brown’s book “I’m Not Fat, I’m Pregnant”, on NZ Morning Breakfast shows and Whānau Living programmes. Awards include Total Gym Exercise Studio of the Year (2011), NZ Fitness Life Awards National Winner for Personal Training, and National Runner-Up for Freestyle Group Exercise.
